Hello long time readers and those just joining us,
This morning I took the kids to Grandma and Grandpa's house for the day so I could go out for a bike ride. Yes I went and rode in this freakishly high wind! When I got home O pull up the laptop and see I have a FB alert I was tagged in a status. I opened it up to find that Grandma and Grandpa had the same idea I do... putting the kids to work. Madison cleaned windows and probably offered to get on the roof and clear the gutters. Later in the afternoon the kids hit a few parks and went and saw Great Grandma.
At dinner time I reclaimed the kids, and we went home to clean up and get ready for bed. I gave the kids the option of bath or shower, but shower they had to do all by themselves. (To some people wondering why this is a big deal, it was a big step to be that independent. M&m have about the same desire to take a shower as I do driving when Beth is with me :)
It was a big step for the kids, after showers we watched some World Cup, and cheered on Ivory Coast the closest Uganda has to a team in the tournament.
It was another good day, the kids went to sleep with no issues, and were alseep almost immediately. So I guess any time the kids don't want to go to bed I will make them wash windows until they are too tired!
