The kids spent the weekend at Grandpa Bob's and Grandma Sue's house, as you could tell from the last two entries. But there is still plenty to update about from yesterday afternoon....
First I need to lead off with Grandpa teaching Mas to be a Tom Jones fan, and getting him to sing "What's New Pussycat" that made the ride home interesting. Once we got off singing that, we moved to the I Miss game. Mas kept telling me that he missed me this weekend, and asking Madi if she missed me, and her response was "NO! I miss my mommy!" Then Mas would say "Well I missed my daddy" this went on for about 10 cycles. When we got home we unloaded the car and went and did their laundry from the weekend, and started to make dinner before we head off to church.
Dinner was fine, nothing exciting, and church went off without a hitch. On the way home though (I am starting to see a trend here with talks in the car) Mas was telling us all about the picture that he drew. There was mommy, daddy, Madi, him, Jesus, God, and a zombie. God is the one with the big head, he knows a lot of stuff. Jesus is the one fighting the zombie, while we all sit back and watch and laugh. On the other side of the paper is just Mas when is is older, it is how big he will be when he is 5! But he didn't have to draw God on that side because he is on the other side and is always watching, and can see though paper.
We got home and put our pj's on, watched a Bubble Guppies, then went off to bed. Mas and I sat on the bed and read a book, while Madi sat next to us having this little rubber lizard attack one of her babies. Every time the lizard would "bite" the baby, Madi would squeeze the baby and make her cry, which when she saw I noticed what she was doing made her laugh, so she did it again, and again. It made reading time interesting.
Madi woke up screaming at 11 and would not go back to sleep, so I got a buddy in my bed last night. Though like typical Madi she pushed me all the way off my pillow, and even in her sleep wanted to let me know that she was the boss, and if I took up too much space or she didn't like how I was laying. I got pretty good sleep in spite of that.
