Schafers in America - 6/19/2014 Baseball and Bird Shaming

Last night was supposed to be Mason's last T Ball game, but due to the rain we have 3 more games to make up.  That is good news as now Beth with get to see the final 2 games.   We are skipping the first make up game as Beth gets back that night and I made the executive decision that picking her up is more important than Mason continuing this amazing hitting streak he is on.  For the season he is batting 1.00.

Last night the coach was out, so the assistant coach and myself ran the team.  A few games back I coached 1st base, and ever since then Mason has asked me on the way to every game if I could coach there again.  Up until last night my base running talents were not needed.   Since I was busy during the game I opened the camera up to a guest filmographer.  I will let you watch the video below to see how the game went, and let you know that the music was picked completely by Mason.

Enjoy.

After the game we headed home to eat dinner, while I was fixing dinner the kids went into the back yard to play.  Mason was still on his high of winning his game, 86 to 79.  The crazy part about the game is it was tied 2 - 2 going into the 3rd!  Madison was her normal random self singing mash ups of songs, last night was "A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, because Jesus loves the little children, say something I'm giving up on you".  M&m went ove to play on the swing set when Mason started to run inside just saying "That is disgusting!" to himself.  I asked what was going on, but before Mason could answer Madison was screaming something over by the swings.  It took a second to figure it out, but once I saw her face I knew she was livid and meant business.  "BIRD.... ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?  BIRD YOU GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW AND CLEAN UP THIS MESS!  I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOU POOPING ON MY TOYS!  IF I CATCH YOU, YOU WILL BE GETTING A PADDLE!  YOU ARE DISGUSTING AND DIDN'T EVEN SAY EXCUSE ME!"  Then she said more that I could not understand, but I knew well enough to step aside and let her get her feelings out.  I tried to get my phone out to video it in time but it was inside charging.  Her tone... I was half laughing and half scared for the bird.

That is a synopsis of our night, we once again watched the College World Series, and Mason once again was a band wagon fan.

It took me awhile last night to get the video ready, the program I was using froze twice and I lost everything I had done even though I saved.  It was a good test of patience!
